Key findings: 51% of pupils on long-term sick leave from school had ME
(greater than any other condition); ME appears in clusters in school staff and
pupils.

Jane Colby is now in recovery from ME herself after a severe Coxsackie B infection disabled her in 1985. Presently Executirve Director of Tymes Trust, she has worked with all the major national ME charities, was Children's Officer for Action for ME for three years and is on the Advisory Council to PRESENT (the National Association for the Education of Sick Children).
